The calculator uses industry benchmarks from home service companies. Annual churn is compounded from your monthly rate - 1 − (1 − monthly rate)^12 - because churn works against a shrinking base, so a flat ×12 would overstate the loss. Revenue-at-risk is that annual rate × members × annual membership value. The score weights churn rate (30%), process maturity (50%), and business size (20%).

This is the annualised recurring revenue that leaves your book over a year, not the cash missed inside a single calendar year - members cancel throughout it, so the in-year cash figure is lower. We also split the result: roughly 25% of cancellations are involuntary - an expired or declined card rather than a customer who chose to leave - and that portion is what a follow-up process can actually recover.
